CBC Radio-Canada interviewed  Research scientist Pablo Jaramillo about what happened in the March storm and the devastating days after. Anticipating 35% loss, it appears it may be 1-1/2 months before the overall monarch losses are known.

Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist Brenda Dziedzic provided a Flicker link for photos sent by Estela Romero, Journey North Correspondent from Angangueo, Michoacan, Mexico showing the sleet covered landscape.
