Spring is Here!

Wondering around my yard earlier this week, I found these signs of spring peeking through the leaves of my woodland. Hope you’re enjoying signs of spring in your own yard as well.

    Donna,
Thanks for sharing what you found in your woodland. Signs of spring such as you found really lift my spirits. It is like being “reborn” again, so to speak. I have seen rhubarb starting to grow, garlic and parsnips. I dug one parsnip this week & used it in vegetable beef soup. Yum!

Hi! Lucy — your comment encouraged me to look further in my very wet spongy yard and I, too, found rhubarb coming up and some onions that were left in the garden last fall. Virginia waterleaf is coming up in my woodland now as well. Now if it would just dry out a bit….
