Order Native Plants Early

March 17, 2017

The first day of spring 2017 is just around the corner. Yep, March 20th is the first day of spring (aka spring equinox) and a reminder that we should get our native plant orders into the nurseries sooner than later. This is the time of the year, nurserymen are starting to commit their stock to pre-orders, often offering sale prices or discounts if you order early. Some will also offer  bare root stock at a lucrative price.

Take advantage of these price breaks. If you wait until closer to Mayflowers, you may not be able to get all the plants you want for that design you’ve been working.
