Wings – Xerces Society Newsletter

December 18, 2017

The Xerces Society’s Fall 2017 issue of the Wings newsletter is a must read for native plant gardeners and natural landscapers. It includes several articles related to natural landscaping and native plants.
  • Research results of a study on invertebrates focused on native vs. nonnative plants in pollinator gardens (natives win!)
  • Conservation in urban areas (think bringing nature home)
  • How gardening affect our waterways (think neonicotinoids)
  • Conservation at home (think grassroots)
  • Conservation in the suburbs (think adventure)

ANOTHER HELPFUL RESOURCE

If you’re interested in starting or expanding native plantings, another helpful booklet you might read is Wild Ones’ Landscaping with Native Plants which is stored on the EPA website.
