Nationally known entomologist and Wild Ones Honorary Director Doug Tallamy, Ph.D, will speak in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday, March 30th and Thursday, March 31st. I’ve heard Dr Tallamy speak at least four times and I’m looking forward to hearing him again. Hopefully we’ll get an update on some of the research projects in which he and his graduate students are now involved. Maryann Whitman, recently retired Wild Ones Journal Editor, published a brief update referencing Dr Tallamy’s findings in the JanFeb 2016 issue on the critical roles plants play in nature by supporting food webs.
Other articles which have appeared in the Wild Ones Journal relevant to Dr Tallamy’s presentations include Gardening for Life and Welcoming Wildlife into the Garden with Native Plants.
