Officially, Memorial Day is intended to honor the soldiers who fought and died for us in American conflicts and is celebrated on the last Monday in May as a federal holiday. I prefer to think of Memorial Day, however, as a time to remember all the soldiers who died for us and those who aided our soldiers who died for us and the families of all those died for us. All have made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety.
So, join me in celebrating with thankfulness in our hearts for all who fought or who aided our soldiers and died during our wars and all their families.
