The month of June is Wisconsin’s annual Invasive Species Awareness Month. 2017’s theme is “Protect the Places Where you Play: Keep Invasives Out!” One of the tools created for this year’s focus is a new video.
To introduce children and adults to three specific invasive species, Wisconsin’s First Detector Network has created a video using colorful graphics. The three species are Oriental Bittersweet (The Strangler), Zebra Mussels (The Clogger) and Wild Parsnip (The Burner).
There are photos of the these invasives at the end of the video. Briefly, the two noxious invasive non-native plants are
Oriental Bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus)
Wild Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa)
After eradicating these plants, don’t forget to plant some native species in their place.

Most states have legislation devoted to invasive species. Some have planned events throughout the year. For more information search the Internet using “invasive plants” and your state’s name as keywords.
Nice video… thanks for sharing it.
You’re welcome, Roger.
