Reference my earlier post on Catherine Zimmerman video project. Catherine just sent an update indicating she still has a ways to go to get the funding she needs to finish this film. Besides the habitat heroes already cited, the video also includes Wild Ones members Todd Crail from Oak Openings Chapter and Ned Dorff from Green Bay Chapter.
Let’s not let Catherine down. If you haven’t already donated toward the film, consider doing so right now: Indiegogo Campaign
I thought you’d enjoy reading this quote by Doug Tallamy from the Hometown Habitat film:
“We don’t have to look to the government for top down solutions to our environmental problems. We can solve them from the bottom up. Local groups like Wild Ones have been doing this for 35 years, very effectively rebuilding nature’s relationships on very small scales, community scales, ecosystem wide scales.”
Hometown Habitat — stories of “bringing nature home.” Don’t forget to tell your friends and family about Catherine’s new video and her Indiegogo Campaign.
I’m glad you posted this, because what Catherine Zimmerman is doing is fantastic.
Not only is the message of what she’s doing very important, but the quality of her video work is fabulous…totally first rate.
After watching a couple of her videos I got turned on, made a financial contribution to her project, and clicked to “follow” her on Vimeo so I can keep up with what she’s doing.
I hope a lot more people will check out her work, and help make her project a reality.
Really great stuff.
Hi! Chris — it’s nice to hear from you. Yes, I follow Catherine as well. She does such great work and this new video not only promotes native plants, but also Wild Ones. What could be better!
