Bringing Nature Home

June 29, 2016

Thanks to Janet Allen from the Wild Ones Habitat Gardening in Central New York Chapter for bringing this great video to my attention. Growing a Greener World’s Joe Lamp’l talks about various aspects of landscaping and what you can do on your property — no matter how big or small — to provide habitat for wildlife. “Bringing nature home really does define our gardens as the new nature.”

Episode 620 – Bringing Nature Home features both Doug Tallamy and Rick Darke speaking about a “living landscape.” As Janet wrote, “I think he really sums up the main ideas very well.”

Nice article and book combination. Thanks for sharing this.

How can we (wild ones plus) use this to inform the community more? A great discussion question for a meeting perhaps.

Hi! Roger — perhaps a book review date would work. Both books Bringing Nature Home by Doug Tallamy and The Living Landscape by Rick Darke and Doug Tallamy would make for great discussions.
