52nd Anniversary

December 4, 2017

John & Donna VanBuecken on their wedding day, December 4, 1965.

Today is our 52nd wedding anniversary, so I’m taking the day off. Not sure what we’ll do special yet, but we’ll think of something.

I recall the day well. It was a lovely December day, until the evening reception. We had a hellacious snowstorm. It gave us the winter wedding we had planned, but it sure made the drive after the reception treacherous.

Thanks, Karen. We were married so long ago that black and white was still in vogue. But I like it. It really brings out the detail.
