This year’s Environmental Education (EE) Week runs April 17-23, 2016. Hosted by the National Environmental Education Foundation each year around Earth Day, EE Week inspires environmental learning and stewardship. So, if you’re looking for materials to use with students, displays or other presentations in preparation for Earth Day, I thought you might like to check out this information about EE grants, contests and other resources. EE resources are available FREE to anyone who is offering or supporting environmental education: “raising awareness, building knowledge and/or motivating others of any age to learn more about, and care for, the planet.”

Materials are primarily targeted at K-12 students, but in the past I have found the resources to be beneficial for everyone.

This year’s focus is on concepts of math. The toolkit includes lesson plans, activity ideas and informational resources for you to use anytime, not just for EE Week or Earth Day celebrations. These materials are all free through the NEEF Greening STEM Learning Center.
