Leaves from the Oak trees are thatched into the lawn and debris from the summer's prairie plants are left for the birds and other critters that frequent the yard.

Excellent News for Eastern Monarchs

The number of hectars being used by monarchs during the 2015-16 winter season has increased to 4.1. Hurrah!

Just released -- the Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP) and World Wildlife Fund Mexico just released the 2015-16 eastern monarch numbers and the overall population has increased!
